MG 42 found in the positions of 5 Kp of Rgt Danmark

Article about: by 24dk Hi ! Im new on this forum, and found this old thread regarding MG42 of 5./24. I visited the museum in Sinimae in 2008. Could the described finding be the MG next to the wall on my ph

    That one is found by peoples who work for German Volksbund in abandoned trenchline of 5 Kompanie SS Rgt Danmark in the Tannenberg line, the trench line was occupied by soviet light mobile artillery/mg unit, which was practically destroed in that trench line. That MG is currently is a property of military museum on the Blue Hills ( Sinimae)

    Wonder what I could find up there with my German EOD magnetometer???
    Depth of 6-7 Meters should result in some nice finds...Danny
