pistol magazine to ID

here again a mag to ID. It looks to me like a P38 magazine but there are many similar and I'm no expert. i am currently cleaning it so better pics will be added soon

I agree. P-38 magazine. The give away are the seven holes and the 'foot' that sits proud of the magazine itself. Where did you find it ?

thanks! Now it is doing some scuba in a sea of evaporust...
I did not find it myself, I picked it up at a diggers fleamarket.
