Hi RSO welcome to the forum. Hopefully someone will go down and verify what kind of plane that is. The article makes it sound like they are not in too big of hurry to investigate. They act like there is some doubt that it is an airplane. The sonar image is pretty darn clear to me.

Yes, there are some doubts but still very interesting. Divers will go down within a week so we will soon know what it is. Searching was done in the 40´s with no result.

As above, some think it may be a Ju 52 transport others have mooted a Fiesler Storch!! Not much difference there then.....
Will be interesting to see what they find down there.

Sorry to say but it was just a pile of loggs... The search is over for the divers for now
Ohhh!! Noooo!! Well it can`t be a german airplane wreck in every lake ...... But I hope , the search will continue !!
