And now for something completely different.

A friend of mine showed me this clock today. He repairs clocks and someone gave this to him a few years back. Knowing I'm into militaria he showed it to me today.

Has anyone seen these before? A quick google search and I found similar but not exact versions ($400 price tag...eeekk!) but they appeared to be older and had a 1937 date on the front. Description is that it was probably for the British and American Bund.

The one I show here however, is made in America by Westclox of La Salle Illinois. While very similar to the one in the link, but it is different. The one my friend has seems a bit more modern in design. But I just can't see a US manufacturer making these post war....and to what end. I can't see anyone buying this for their kids nightstand.

The pictures are poor. My cell phone lens is cracked but was all I had.

These have been around a while...we had a thread on them a few years ago...they're definitely postwar just like the fake Leicas and if I'm not mistaken, the Clock Faces can be bought with different Nazi Imagery...
