Hi Guys, this item belongs to the same person as the cigarette case I showed earlier. It came from the same UK dealer around 15 to 20 years ago. Sadly I ran out of battery life before I could take a shot of the interior. However, the lid was held in place by 4 unequal sized chunks of the stone material which the box was made out of. It is a small item, maybe 5 inches across.
Again, I have my thoughts on this and strongly believe it to be bad. The quality to the silver eagle and lettering is just not there.
It purported to be a gift from Bormann to Hitler.
Cheers, Ade.

Got to agree Ade neither the Eagle or lettering are quaility made , the Eagle doesn't even appear to be of a Germanic design.

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
Thanks Guys, I will direct the owner to this thread and those on his other items.
Cheers, Ade.
