    Thanks for your comments. I don't believe the vendor makes any claim for the plate's age, however, linking it to the Reichsnährstand does clearly suggest the 33-45 period.

    I understand what you mean about the patina of the item. I suspect that these were often ornamental rather than functional items. I know that it is very easy to artificially 'age' wooden item, certainly furniture makers do it all the time. Anyone who had considerable craft skill required to create one of these items would have no problem also ageing it. As has already been mentioned, I doubt that there is much economic incentive to fake these.
