I think that only ships used signal FOG horns. fog didn't create any problems with the REICHS BAHNS , the trains run on rails. it may have been used to signal the engine from the caboose, on movements in the rail yards? jmho.

Is this the same Signal brand that is seen showing a logo with an arrow going through a Bullseye target?

Well its not for a train but for the platform station manager, they all used horns all over the world.
You can also see that it has a carrier ring, so to be taken by hand.
In WW1 they used all kinds of horns in the trenches for gas alarm, they also had special train Regiments., therefore hard to tell which unit used it.
Hoping on a specialist in this subforum to identify it.......
Cheers
Ger
