Saruman: It’s genuine as evidenced by its condition and the correct company signature at the bottom of the sign, correctly spelled and with Pyro-Email included in the lower left corner. The Email in the name has nothing to do with modern email. It is the abbreviation of “Emailliert,” meaning enameled. Pyro-Email is the name for their product and Boos & Hahn are the two men who owned it. Several other enameling companies made those signs, but Boos & Hahn have the bigger name among collectors and command the highest prices. That's a nice example and a proper reminder of the Reichsnährstand, which in my opinion was the most dictatorial and ineptly managed Nazi organization of the Nazi era. Dwight
Very cool, I love old porcelain enamel signs.
Thank you very much for your help and these precisions ! I am happy it's a good one :-)
Best regards
A fine original piece..
