Thank you all for the kind comments. One of the joys of collecting is being able to share it with others who have similar interests. As an old friend of mine who collected Japanese swords once said, "There is no fun in showing your best sword to your neighbor's dog.
In this group there was also a plain silver dish and a gilded silver dish with angels and a German Christmas saying, " Von himmel nach da kom." At some point, I will dig that out and post pictures. I have used it at Christmas dinner for cookies!
We always drink a toast to The Reichsmarshall for providing us with such fine drinking utensils. As my neigbor, a retired U S Marine Colonel always says, "It is good to be able to utilize your enemies equipment."
