Now that makes me dribble..................It's nice...........WOW............ superb.
What's it made from?
Thanks, John...it's not bronze, but a very heavy 'bronzed' metal with marble base and brass plaque.
How much would something like that sell for? It is quite stunning. I have no idea about its originality, and I'm not about to challenge that, but it is one of a kind, so how do you price it?
Just wondering
If you ever decide to sell it
You are right...these 'one-off' things are not easy to price or value. WE all can tell the correct value of an SA dagger or a Luftwaffe tunic but for'arty' things it is really just what you are prepared to pay to have such a thing in your collection, and of course you must be happy that it is original.
Mate that is one awesome piece to have in your collection , i'm very envious , cheers Raymond
THanks, Raymond.
Just found this thread--super piece! I can't make out all of the wording on the plaque--do you have a closeup of the engraving? Not that I doubt it, but I'd like to read it!

Wessel Great find and a jewel for the collection -
The plaques states:
Our Comrade Captain ...... Bruck, on the occasion of his award for the Oakleaves to the Knightscross of the Iron Cross on 19 - 2 -1943. Eternal loyalty from your squadron commrades.

Thanks! Outstanding sculpture and at the same time a Stuka RK related award--what more can one ask?
