Junkerschule dish

hi guys
i found this dish at the gun show
i dont have any knowlage on this stuff but look very nice
weight about more then a pound and look to be solid sterling
its mark on the handle 27 stamp

Nice looking item but isn´t it a bit strange to have a massive engraving like this on the inside of a sterling dish?

A macro image of the engraving might show if it is period, and not laser engraved .
Even a single letter if thats possible .

Why do all the scratches stop at the engraving ? Especially under the "J" ? Have to enlarge these images to see. Looks like engraving done after the wear & tear.

I zoomed in 200X on my PC. No damage to any of the lettering....all scratches do not affect the letters. Maybe as Chris said...better images needed
