Not a good one .
Thank you for the reply. What is present in the photos that gives the eagle away as not a good one?
For one - Extremely poor casting..........
Regards,
Steve.
I recently looked at one of these trolley car eagles that was very similar to yours. Casting and detail looks very similar. I deemed mine a fake with the help of the boys on here. Big Ned, JR from Meda Militaria & John from German War Booty are also good sources. Agree with Steve my braddha to the north this one looks post war repro. Sorry to say but not good.

The coarseness and the porosity of the metal alone shows that it was very poorly cast. The mounting lugs are just globs and totally un-usable. I am quite sorry to see that you have already purchased this item as it is an absolute fake. Is it possible to return it?

Agreed, the mounting lugs jumped out to me as a red flag instantly.
hope you get your money back.
I checked with the guy I purchased the eagle from and he is giving me a refund. I appreciate all of the help, I know now what to look for in the future.
Oak leaves seems going in the wrong way.
From the eagle to the back.
