Here is a Bronze statue of Icarus on a marble base and the NSFK Emblem attached - A great item that fits in well with the NSFK Daggers etc -
These are neat. Now are these supposed to be a likeness of Icarus??. I have seen a huge pre-war Icarus figure.
Greek Mythology was one of the few academic courses I bothered to go to and all the names and such can be confusing, but it is great writing. Icarus would try to fly with wings of wax to the sun? and fall to his death.
Nice pieces and generally misunderstood or under appreciated. Seems that way to me anyway.
Kris - Yes, it is a likeness of Icarus and the story goes(in a nut shell), his father Daedalus who was living on the isle of Crete was trying to escape and constructed wings with wax for him and his son Icarus, but Icarus flew to close to the sun the wax melted and down he went. I also loved Greek mythology and stayed awake during classes.
