An item from Prague Castle, the purpose of which I cannot identify.

Hi,

It shows the coat of arms of the city of Prague (Praha) and the city itself.

Maybe it is a friendship badge to show unity between the German and the Czech people.

The item is embossed. The hooks are soft. Maybe it was pinned to the lapel of a jacket or coat or some other garment?

I think you are right!

It makes sense that it would have been worn on an item of clothing.

Hopefully other members will be able to identify it.

I agree with Willmore, either that or maybe some kind of tinnie for those who visited Prag? Either way it's made after march 1939 since that non-German flag is the flag of Reichsprotektorat Böhmen-Mähren.
