Not even Silver..the "90" mark indicates silver Plate. One reason why the fake runes are so shallowly placed, so as to not go through the plating.

"SS" = Silver-plated Spoon. Thus, technically a valid marking.![]()
Here is a good example of a silver plated SS spoon.
This one came from the SS school at Bad Tolz.

The spoon was a gift from my neighbor and friend who was
a ww2 vet and brought it home with him. He was part of
Patton's staff and liberated the spoon while Patton was using
SS school at Bad Tolz.
