    Large Kreigsmarine U Boat or E Boat Reichsadler Cast Alloy Eagle, 715mm x 400mm. Depth 60mm to eagle's chest. No makers marks. Gilt painted finish with swastika in black with silver edges. Six integral cast tabs to edges for screw fixing.

    A very interesting piece. Based on the color on the swastika, I would assume that it comes from a ship and not from a submarine (I have only seen painting on photos of ships so far, and the salt water during diving would probably have attacked the color badly.)

    Anyway a great specimen. It's just a pity that no manufacturer and no history of origin is known. But it is definitely a nice addition to any collection and an eye-catcher.

    I'm very excited to see how much it goes for in the auction.

    It went for £2600 + fees.
