    I was cleaning out grandma and grandpa’s home today and came across this pendant. Grandpa was with the Queens’s own Cameron Highlanders of Canada. Not sure if he picked it up while in Europe.

    A piece of jewelry and not related to the TR era at all.

    The swastika was a common symbol and used by many ethic groups for hundreds of years. Tibet, Native Americans, etc. etc. It was popular to use this symbol on jewelry.

    It was also a good luck symbol pre-Nazi.

    The swastika also appeared on the earliest Soviet banknotes, ironically.
