Its a Early type USA 5.56mm M193 round ammo box. We brits call them H83's, the Americans call them M2A1, they are made to the same basic NATO standard design.

The info on the side tells you

    840 Cartridges - 840 rounds of ammo
    5.56mm - Calibre of round
Ball M193 - Full Metal Jacket bullet, type designation M193
10 RD Clips - 10 rounds in one clip so 84 clips
Bandoleers - The 10 round clips are in a single over the shoulder banodoleer, most probably with 5 or 10 pockets.
LOT TW-2-926 - This is the LOT number, a serial number given to the batch produced at the same time. That way, any issue with any part of the ammo and you can trace where it came from, when and also find the rest of the lot if you need to segregate it.

The line of dots on the box lid denotes 5.56mm in 10 round clips in bandoleer.

If there was a NSN it would be in the 13 digit format 8140-00-960-1699.
The -00- (or -01-) represents the USA

Here is a list of box manufacturers, they may be emobsoed on the box somewhere.

    M.C.Z.
    EMCO
    BURROWES
    M.C.C.
    S.H.T.

As m3bobby have stated, it's definitely U.S., TW is Twin Cities Ordnance Plant, Minneapolis, MN. Surely, post WWII (5.56 mm cart.)
