Battle of the Bulge relic
Article about: Hi Guys, this is the end section of a US "Parapack". This was dropped on the besieged town of Bastogne in Dec 1944. The item was picked up by a local farmer at the time and kept in

Hi there Ade , there wouldnt be many of those left today i bet . Just on the subject of Airbourne gear , in the drops on Normandy they are said to have droped dummy paratroops called Rupet , was this so and if so are there any surviving that you know of , interesting , cheers Raymond

Hi Raymond, the "Rupert" story is correct. I have seem quite a few over the years, nearly all were in museums.

That is a great find Ade, like said earlier wouldnt be to many of those around today nice find.
