Found a US WWII M1 helmet liner, dress service cap, mess kit, canteen with cup and carrier, m43 field jacket and a dismounted raincoat. They all came out of the estate of an elderly gentleman.

Thanks, MAP! Every day is an adventure…I am at the will of the garbage gods… sometimes things arrive damaged and beyond recognition, other times there are long spans of time when nothing is found. Something is better than nothing, I suppose!
I’m amazed that such items end up in the trash, in a world where knowledge of such items is ever easier to corroborate and yet it still gets discarded. Lucky saves every one.
