Picked these up at an estate sale last week from a WWII vet. Is there a way to tell if they are WW1 or WWII? I am also going to be selling them, since I don't collect field gear, but does anyone have a guess of the value? I couldn't find any past sales on eBay. I sure you guys are the same in that you can never pass up a WW2 era item even if its not your cup of tea.

Those are neat. Is there a better pic of the maker marks? Rich A. in Pa.

Sadly that is the only picture I have and they all look the same. I am not able to make out the makers mark on any of them. The vet was in the Navy if that helps. I can't seem to find any of these for sale......but I wouldn't imagine that they are that rare. Have you seen them before? I noticed that WWII cots have the exact same metal hardware.

    Most likely WW2 in date.

My wife has actually convinced me to keep these stools. She said that they would be great around the fire pit and seem to not be that common of an item.
