French Leather Pouches, What Are They For?

HI, hoping someone can help me out with these pouches. I believe them t be French but I dont know what they are for. Many Thanks.

are there any markings anywhere on them and can you post some pictures of the backs (they remind me a bit of the k98 grenade laucher pouch but thats ww2 and i think these are ww1)
unless its for a officers telescope

I think these are MAS36 grenade launcher pouches.
But I'm not sure!
