Found this group locally, came with a pristine and complete late war Westinghouse M1 helmet liner, duffle bags, a few commercial souvenirs (not pictured) from the Philippines and India or Burma. I'm about half way through examining individual pieces, there are lots of smalls.
I always enjoy finding eclectic groups such as this that require some research of individual items to determine what they are exactly. A bunch U.S. of DUI's, German award, tinnies, assorted goggles, trench art, knives, compasses, period regional souvenirs, and lighters. A few other nations odds and ends. The snap pouch is German. The ammo is all dated '41-'44, the 45 acp is ECS - Evansville Ordnance Plant for the most part, and the 9mm is German headstamped made in captured Czech ammo factories. There are also period magazines.
There are a bunch of interesting items, including a Western, Boulder Colo.pat.no.1967479 knife whose sheath has "Lady Luck 8-9-43", written deeply in the leather. It has missing leather handle washers, but I do know these were favored by pilots and air crew, so perhaps named to a particular bomber by a crew member. The colorful keep, broach, buckle, or what ever it is actually, is pretty interesting as well. There is a .30 carbine shell trench art whistle and a torpedo that has two independently spinning props.
Just a fun little group to go though, I figured I'd share it.
