Hi, could anyone tell me more about this visor cap that I found. I've deduced that its west German and that's it! It has a blue/black and yellow shield with the hat being white.

It's a Police cap, the emblem would denote where in German it is from.

Ahh that's what the problem was! Thanks CBH. Any ideas why its white? Is it any relation to the navy at all?
The Germans like white hats in summer, which makes perfect sense.
