Question on Austro-hungarian canteen

Article about: Hi, I have questions on this kind of enamel canteen. Was this "oval" design specific for some kind of troops (cavalry)? Or it was just a manufacturer variation of standard canteen?

    Manufacturer design..
    Maybe the strap is from that period, but not manufacturer one.

    yes it could be cavalry variation as not cup with it, EmailierWerke Austria was located in Brunn, now Brno Czech republic. I believe there was a long leather strap to hanging on breast not on belt.
