My Post War A-8B O2 mask quest for "The Look"

Hello Gent's,

I had shared my Post war A-8B here in another thread,

But since getting it finished, I needed one more thing to give it The Look.(WW2 Bomber Crew)

I wanted to add a set of leather harness straps like were used on the WW2 versions.

I couldn't find any, be it real or repro.

So I was going to try and make my own, but needed the hardware details.

So I reached out to a gent who made some A-8 leather harness 2 years ago, But quit making them.

I inquired about the Hardware and he replied back that they were a proprietary type of hardware and that they weren't used on anything else.

He took an original set and had copies laser cut and made and that he had one set left!!!!!!



He said he could reach out to his friend who did the leather work and he agreed to Knock Out One More Set!!!!!

YEAH BABY!!!!! I calmly replied Yes please.



Here they are completed.



I had some time to mount these and I'm quite pleased with how these turned out.

I got Da Look!!!!
