A LOT of Marston mat - or PSP as it was known ( perforated steel planking ) was used for fencing here in Australia after the war ( we had a LOT in storage up in Queensland ) In fact, if you go to farm clearance sales you can STILL get some!!
A place near our family farm used it either side of their gate entrance!!
*** these went for $10 a length *** ( but the job lot was 564 lengths!!! )
