Ante Pavelic Bravery Medal in Silver

Hi !

Wanna show you the Ante Pavelic Bravery Medal in Silver, awarded to an German Mountain Trooper for his brave duty in the fight against bandits.

This medal was later sent to his Family, after the Lieutenant was KIA ...

I know that, because I also own the document belonging to the medal, (a fellow collector translated the words).

This is very nice! Documents are really rare. This is second one I've seen actually.
Don't you think it's a bit strange that German soldier received Croatian medal? It was in common that Croatian soldiers got German medals, at least those who were on Ostfront.

Hi !

That German Soldiers where decorated with Croatian Medal´s was not really common, but also not unusual.

More common where Romanian and Bulgarian Medals.

The same Soldier also was decorated with the Iron Trefoil III. Class.
I also own this medal together with the document.
