I recently posted this on a Swedish forum – Historiskt samlarforum – along with some documents. I’ve been looking around on the Internet and Svir seems to be somewhat of an authority when it comes to NSAP and Nordic Youth stuff. I was wondering if he, or anyone else, could tell me what S.99 means, and possibly any other info. It’s been suggested that it might stand for “Storm 99” (Hi, Vetgirig). If true, is there any way to find out more about them?
It’s a wedding present from “comrades in S.99”. It was given to a relative of mine who at the time (later half of the 1930s) held the rank of “anstormsledare, anstl”. I’ve been able to find out that he was later part of Nordic Youth HQ (högkvarteret, Hk), but I do not know if that was true at the time of the wedding. The cut-out part is the wedding date, seemed appropriate to do so.
And just so I can feel that I’ve made some kind of contribution to this thread, here’s a pic of the NSAP leaders in 1934. Sorry for the poor quality and the flash. Poor digital camera and poor camera work on my part.
P.S. If you’re going to post any names in response to this, I would appreciate if you would add one or more “*” – like Gör*n Gus*avs*on (random name). Still a touchy subject for some people.
