Hello, I've recently been interested in purchasing a helmet used by Bosnian forces during the Yugoslav wars. I've came across this helmet which claims to be from the time period and has camo paint and the ⚜ symbol on it. I would love some opinions on whether the camo is war time and or authentic, thanks!

It is an M89, just coming into service before the collapse of Yugoslavia. It could well have been used by Bosnian troops; it is a type used by pretty much anyone with access to Yugoslav army stores, usually the Serbs. Whether it genuinely was used by Bosnians who knows - a lot of these special features are easily faked to increase value - but equally well it could be a captured and reused item.

Considering the bad condition interior of this helmet & the very clean exterior, no scratches, stains or wear marks. Authentic or not? White paint on helmets is normally seen for winter camo, for MPs & parade helmets! Unless the helmet as a known story how can we really know? We can't.
Strangely 2 similar camo pattern helmets are also for sale.

Hard to say for sure but did notice the wear to shell exposing the ballistic weave was done prior to the camo paint scheme ,the M89 factory finish coating seemed prone to paint flaking very easily i must add
