Default Chinese "M65" / "GK82 FT" Para Helmet

I would like to show you a helmet here, which is not classified as a steel helmet, but also not as a ballistic helmet...

This is simply a protective helmet for Chinese airborne troops without any protection against projectiles or shrapnel.

A collector colleague who works in China sent me this helmet years ago.
According to his information, this is an "M65" paratrooper helmet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

This model was introduced in 1965 by the 3 divisions of the 15th ( Airborne ) Army of the
    Chinese People's Liberation Army.

The helmet is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP), the straps
    is made of nylon webbing.
The adjustable lining inner ring is made of leather, the outer ring
    is padded with foam rubber.
Occasionally, a red lacquered cap aluminum star was used
    helmet attached.
From 1985 the new screw cockade M85 was attached.
For that drilled a corresponding hole in the middle of the painted red star.

However, the helmet I'm showing here is probably an unmodified depot piece.

Some sources also refer to this helmet as "GK82 FT".

I would be interested in more information about this helmet.

    Thanks in advance,
    R

If required, an additional neck protection made of padded cotton could be buttoned in with snaps.

From 1991 this model was replaced by the paratrooper helmet M91.
