Here is my PASGT helmet with a little upgrade : DCU cover, Norotos Mount and shroud and a dummy PVS-14 (a real one is too expensive for me and).







According to the next pic, I keep the strap on the helmet.

Looks good.
Careful of that strap being too tight. Had a Kevlar setup with one too tight and I noticed one day it snapped the plastic part of the strap in half. Must have been too much stress over time.

It doesn't just happen to me! The same part broke after two days on my helmet. But my Korean seller spontaneously offered to send the broken part back to me for free.

So, I just relaxed the strap on my helmet, I didn't plan to wear it, so the NVG can move a bit :-)

And my first mount broke exactly at the same place. I don't know what it is made from, but I was unable to fix it with any kind of glue.

Those breaks are very unusual......I have a few of them on lids for a few years and not had a breakage....yet. Also, could the one in the Alamy pic be a USMC LWH rather than a PASGT...I know straps can be replaced/upgraded etc.....

This pic was just here for showing that the strap was used on helmet in operation and not just on ebay :-).

I'm afraid to screw the mount into the helmet, so I was happy to find this pic!
