    A friend found this metal detecting and asked if I could help with identification.It resembles a shotgun cartridge but none that I have ever seen it has 19 stamped on the side which corresponds with the caliber.Any help appreciated.

    I don't know mate, could it be part of a ruptured case extractor for a .50 weapon perhaps?

    It looks like a cartridge to put on weapons pylons to release them in case of an emergency. Is there a primer visible?
