Article about: Thanks again guys,just the kind of replies that give a real boost to go back! after a bit more research i found that one of those nickels is indeed a Jefferson nickel (1938–2003) dated 1940,

    Spent my lunch break haveing a look around a Second World War Army Camp today. Look what i discovered

    Good one CB A couple of nice 50cals and some 303s. Nice bits of marked pottery as well show you're in the right spot

    Thanks guys, thought id show you the head stamps cleaned up,along with those coins.
    All finds were surface finds,so im hopeing there will be plenty more next time.
    Head stamps for the .303's were
    RL 32 Royal Laboratory, Woolwich, England
    K5 38 Kynoch (I.C.I.), Kidderminster, UK (1944)
    DAC 1940 Dominion Arsenal, Québec, Canada
    .50'S
    TW 43 Twin Cities Ordnance Plant, Minneapolis, MN
    LC 43 Lake City Ammunition Plant, Lake City, MO
    Lastly the coins are a nice 1943 two shilling coin,a 1938 three pence piece
    and a couple of 1940 five cents and i got to eat a pasty at the same time, now who says men cant multi task!

    Indeed two U.S. Five cents dated 1940. im realy pleased as i was hopeing to find something a little more personal,and my first coin finds too.very pleased
