Interesting find,a friend of mine ( now deceased ) won the Military Medal in that battle. You can look it up on Google, Ken Barwise,PPCLI.

Thanks for that heads-up, Z. I did look him up and it was bittersweet.
It was regretable that his family had a tough time getting financial help for his burial. But I guess
it got resolved which I was glad to read.
The sweet, it provided a rare first-hand account of what happened there. Not only that, but I'm fairly
certain I know that machine-gun position that Ken retook and it's still there though barely recognizable.
It's the actual events and stories, not so much the relics, that movitates me to go out to these sites
and when they come alive it's awe-inspiring. It's the stories of such heroism and sacrifice
that needs to survive more so than the relics!

Thanks for the posting. My father and his brother fought in this battle with the 213th FA it was a National Gaurd unit from Utah.
