Arktis ist Nicht!
Amazing that liners disappear yet chinstraps remain!
Good to see that you are working friends!
Is this a fighting place at Hauptkampf-linie?

Spasibo, Maxim!
Not a Karelia, but I've just returned from the Kola peninsula, Musta-Tunturi hill, this was more observing tour, than a digging

Nice finds !
I wonder if the ceramic thing / cup is from Denmark? It says "Haerens Sanitet" which means "Army medical (unit)". The way of writhing the AE letters is Danish but is also used in Sweden and Norway. Today however they do write this "ä" instead of the Danish letter "æ" - but I do not know what they did in the 40´s .....
Keep up the good work !
Is there a maker mark on the cup? It would fit to be Norwegian or Danish
Best Regards

Looking for militaria from HKB 31./977, HKB 32./977, HKB 38./977 or militaria related to Norway
I think you may be right in that it is Danish, interesting
Cheers Jan
"Hæren" was written with the "æ" in Norway back in the 40's so Norwegian is definitely a possibility --- didn't Sweden use "Armé", as in "Sveriges Armé", instead of "Hær"? Danish or Norwegian sounds more likely to me than Swedish anyway... I guess the history of the location it was found would be an important pointer.
