German WW2 military vehicle parts are usually rare and restorations often depend on dug up parts like this one (even when rotted beyond use, as they can be used as a pattern), so it might be worth while to try to find out if it indeed is vehicle-related and if so, what vehicle? Maybe it's the puzzle piece some restoration is missing.

So we have to wait till spring for more of your finds?

Great photos btw! You have a nice artistic style.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Thanks Map Yes,sadly it looks like the season is over for this time, but I might be able to make a trip or two to Latvia before spring And until then I have some piles of relics to clean, and make some displays of some of my finds

Ironically ~ I am in the same situation right now~, Inka ~

The wet season has started with a vengeance and I have been 'rained out" three times in the last fortnight! Not that I am overly averse to getting wet ~ it is a not a lot of fun some days ~

The big advantage fro us is that in the Wet season I can get drenched and it will still be a balmy 25 deg. C. ~

Alternatively I have started a "spring clean' of my relic storage space/s ~ cleaning and resorting to create more space and using the new "snake oil technique" with stunning results ~

This weekend it was mild enough to make a trip to the forest for a little recce trip. The weather was changing between sunny and full blown snowstorm so it was quite nice. Right now it is some 5-10 cm snow but the weather report hints of rain and warmer weather the next two weeks so if Im lucky there will be more digging
