Back home after some digging in a stinging nettle shrubbery,that was fun Found some goodies though. My favorite find was the bakelite mg34 grip plate. I hope I ll find the other part on one of the next trips

I wonder why the grip was removed (its not broken). There was no reason to take it off the MG. Nice finds.
@ Blackcat, I wonder if maybe parts of a waffenmeister crate was emptied and thrown around there. Found several other MG and weapon bits, and we ll see when I can do some more digging there. I tried today but horseflies ruled the area and it was too warm for digging today.. I ll be back on expeditions as soon as the temps lowers a bit.

That's a possibility, not the standard spares carried by the MG crew. Can't beat a bit of old Bakelite. Unless you find the MG itself that is!
