    Well done Inka for getting out once more and it being such a rich trip. Very entertaining write up as well. I'm not sure about Jimmy and his pet squirrel - they are more of a nuisance in our part of the world.

    A couple of months into the winter season now, and I have begun cleaning up some of the treasures found this season. Here are two bits that rinsed up well in a bath of oxalic acid. A fieldtorch and one of the better helmets I dug up

    Here is a nice Wasser kanister I dug up a few seasons ago. I didnt clean it before yesterday though. Inkstamps are still visible

    Isn't it because it's found in artic circle.
    I mean, half of the year it's frozen, thus it corrodes only half as fast as items in middle/south europe.
    In warm and moist rust can spread fast, but only half of the year in artic where it gets deep-frozen every winter.
