    Very nice finds again Inka. I have not identified the Fpn number 06400 yet. We also saw the Northern lights in my part of the U.K. as well, very unusual and beautiful also.

    Winter is upon us again. A few days ago the temp jumped from around 0 to +15, but it laste for less than 24 hours and it is now back to night frost and near sub zero temps during the day, so the time to be shutting her down is nigh
    I was out freezing my fingers off a couple of times this week trying to locate a place or two for digging next season

    Right now it is snowing. Adding to the 10-15 cm from the last few days. So Im at home, dreaming about May while putting a few items into a bath with oxalic acid. Here is the first item cleaned up. A small tin with Finnish shoe polish

    Here north the weather is continuing its bizarre behaviour. It has switched from snowy with subzero degrees to rainy with a very comfy +15 degree Celsius, and this of course means that come Monday I ll be making a trip to the woods again
    This week I spent my remaining oxalic acid and cleaned up the helmet I found on my last dig. It turned out not half bad, with a decal partially intact even
