I wasn't quite sure where to put this thread, so if it's in the wrong place, I'm sorry.

I'm looking for battlefield relics, but nothing fancy. I'm looking for the stuff that regular collectors pass over. Bullets, bullet casings, frags, maybe even an inert grenade or something, etc. from actual battlefield locations. I've searched the web, and have found a few sites that sell battlefield relics, but they are all either things I do not want, or are way too expensive.

So does any place exist where I can find bullets, casing and other battle items from documented places, or am I just dreaming such a place up?

I would try to contact another metal detecting enthusiast in Europe, and go from there. You might find somebody that would like to trade WW2 relics for US Civil War relics.

This might be a way to meet someone who finds old military items, nvd-anp.com , is the website of a metal detecting club in Belgium.

There's this UK-based site, might be what you're looking for: Relics from the Front

They get all sorts in, everything from aircraft parts to relics from the battlefields of WWI. Each item comes with a laminated card, documenting where it was recovered as well as a few other details. Free postage within the UK only, but they offer a reduced rate for international buyers.

    Regards, B.B.
