The eagle of the Graf Spee in danger of being destroyed
The Uruguayan government seems to be starting the process to put the eagle of the Graf Spee up for public auction.
The problem is that the main buyer is a millionaire Argentine businessman named Daniel Sielecki of Jewish origin.
The businessman plans to destroy the logo until it is pulverized.
Really a shame if this comes to fruition. There are people who do not know how to differentiate between a cult object and a historical one.
With the same criteria, the Christians of the world should demand the destruction of all non-Christian temples, including the Egyptian pyramids... how ridiculous!

An Israeli newspaper's take on the story;
"German officials have since changed their posture, saying that they would allow the eagle’s display in an educational museum context. The Simon Wiesenthal Center issued a statement in July, urging Uruguay to display the crest in a museum instead of sell it to an open market."

The Uruguayan president announced last month that the project to melt down the eagle of the Graf Spree and recast it as a peace dove has been cancelled. This came two days after it was announced that an artist in Uruguay would sculpt a dove from the melted scrap. Enough of an uproar came as a result of this poor decision that quickly prevented it from coming to fruition.

This story surfaced a few years ago I recall so things don’t move fast in Uruguay.
