I found this while metal detecting today.
Just wondering if someone had a picture of a complete one or had more history on it?
Also, is it worth anything?

I don't think it's worth much, if anything. Furthermore there is no need to make three posts in different sections on a item. Just saying. Welcome to the forum.
As Datrus has pointed out there is no need to start 5 threads for the same item so i've deleted 4 of them and left it here in the best section to get an answer for you !!
cheers

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

I don't recognise it at all. What makes you think it is from the USAAF?
As to value......in that condition 50p. It is, to all intents and purposes, a piece of metal.

What is it made from, lead or aluminium? Looks a bit like a lead seal, not very detailed.

Whatever its just an opinion.
Yeah you could be right Bond, looks like it could be a lead seal
Not sure what it is, but it is Army Air Corps. Looks like a sweetheart pin of some kind. If it was military it would likely only have US not USA.

I'm not sure what it's made from. It's very heavy. It showed up as a dime / QTR on my metal detector.
I figured it was air force because it has the old air force emblem on it. You can only see the top part of it though.
Here's what a guy off the metal detecting forum said.
If it is very heavy, it is probably made of lead, the white powdery surface also suggests lead, IMO and it is probably a seal from a packing crate or a gas main etc...

Do you have anything that I could google that could give me some info on it?
