Hurtgen -Gey 22 Regt Action
Found some German trenches which must have been occupied by the americans later probaby the 22 nd Inf Regt. Reports of action in this area refer to bazooka rounds being used to take out individual strongpoints and enemy trenches. Found alot of fired 30 cal ammo which indicated an intense battle. The American Coys recieved heavy casualties taking objectives around this area. There is an excellent book covering the area by Robert Sterling Rush
