What a good idea. Here's one I like; The first is a World War I photo of New Zealand medical officers with a German POW doctor (Lt.Schnelling of 14th Bavarian Regt) who was working with them treating the wounded of both sides.

Another one I did. Gaspar Wallnöfer, 79, September 1917. Veteran of the Austrian Wars in Italy in 1848/1849, and 1866. And to think he was only 10 years old during his first fight!
