    I find a lot of these but haven't yet identified them.

    Bit of a guess but to me it looks asif it could be from a mills bomb?

    Hi buddy,

    I found a few of these myself in area's where there was an extensive use of artillery, so I think they are from artillery shells or mortar bombs.

    @totenkopf haha, at first I thought your joke was stupid and out of the blue til I realised the users name is actually "bunghole"

    ontopic: its odd that noone else in UK has found the same 40mm shell that I found few years back :S

    Well I can tell you it definitely isn't part of a Mills, as suggested above. They also don't look like any portion of an artillery fuse. Do you tend to find them in groups or scattered all over the place ? Do they all have the same holes in them ?
