I found the website of a french ww2 detecting group digging in Normandy in an area where the fightings between the 29th american division and the Fallshirmjägers were fierce. A huge load of beautiful finds! enjoy!

I was able to read the French descriptions. I do hope the finds wind up in a museum and that they are properly preserved. NH

Hi Neil Ever, Well, I am pretty sure they ended in some private collections and I am sure they will be preserved due to the historical and, not less, financial value of the finds. The site have a huge loads of photos, you may click on "acceuil" at the end of the page to be directed to the main menu. Then chose in the category "fouille" (Battlefield's archaeology) "premier conflit mondial" : WW1, "Second conflit mondial" : WW2.
