One of my favorite find

A couple years ago we founded a marine dog tag and a badge without bones. It's usual thing in that place because many german soldiers droped away their weapons and badges then surrended.
So with this dog tag happened interesting story. When we founded some recordings about the owner we were impressed and wondering becouse according with dokuments this marine falled in aktion on U-boat in the sea. That's the story.

What is the insignia at the left? Some kind of unit cap badge?

I don't know for sure, it's similar to some car or motocicle or another vichles MARK. One guy told us it,s a mark from a german schnellbote...........i don't know.

The soldiers name is Bruno Niederberger. You can find his name by research in Volksbund.de.
His name is placed on the monumet in Germany as KIA with the crew in U-Boat
