I have lately taken an interest in recently captured militaria from the current war in Ukraine. This Baclava is my first acquisition.
It was purportedly found in Kharkiev, , after the Russian withdrawal. Most notable about this piece, is the painted Z on the front. I've seen a ton of things with painted Z's used by the Russians, everything from helmets and hats, to Baclavas, ammunition crates and other such items.
I'm not too sure what pattern camo this is. It almost doesn't look Russian. I can't match it to anything Ukrainian either. Honestly, it looks American, but the colors don't photograph well. Hopefully some modern military experts on here can point me in the right direction.
