I can't manage to find it in English.
De Standaard Online - Resten zeldzame jachtvlieger geborgen
But thise is what is says in a few words;
The remains of a Spit XII where found in Beveren-IJzer (Flanders).
Only 100 where made of it.
It crashed on sunday the 19 september 1943 while escorting bombers to France, shot down by ennemy planes.
The pilot was a Austrlian guy...; sergeant Stan May, who survived the crash, managed to get back to the UK and died in 2002.
The man who helped the pilot was denonced and deportated.
